Growing up, I’ve always loved exploring new places and discovering new things. But it was when I went on my first trip that I truly understood how amazing travel can be. From hiking in the Atlas Mountains to camping in the Sahara Desert, every part of my journey showed me how beautiful and incredible the world can be and how strong people can be when they face challenges.

Here’s a little story to illustrate my point: During one of my adventures, I stumbled upon a small village tucked away in the Sahara. The locals welcomed me with open arms, sharing their stories, traditions, and even inviting me to join in their festivities. It was a humbling experience that reminded me of the beauty of human connection and the importance of preserving cultures around the world.

Previous Escapades
Ready to dive into the heart of Morocco with me? My journey was anything but ordinary. I’ve gone beyond the beaten path and embraced all the charm Morocco offers. These travels inspired me to start this blog and lit the everlasting flame of wanderlust in my heart.
The Majestic Dunes of Merzouga
On a breathtaking afternoon, I conquered the towering dunes of Merzouga, standing tall at over 500 feet. Though the climb tested my resolve, the reward was beyond measure. As I ascended, the golden hues of the setting sun painted the landscape in a symphony of colors, filling my heart with wonder. At the summit, the panoramic views stretched as far as the eye could see. If that doesn’t show the majesty of nature, I’m not sure what does.
For an added thrill, I dared to try sandboarding down the slopes. There’s nothing like the rush of adrenaline as I glided over the soft sands. It was a moment of pure exhilaration, etched forever in my memory as a testament to the boundless beauty of our world.
Finding Solace in the Sahara
There are only a few places in the world where you can truly be alone—and the Sahara is probably the most mesmerizing of them. In the vastness of the Sahara desert, I sought solitude amidst the towering dunes near the village of “Hassi Labied” in southern Morocco.
I camped there for two nights, just enjoying the beauty of the desert and sleeping under the stars. Setting up my tent in the sandy dunes felt really peaceful. There were no noises except for the gentle wind.
At night, I made a fire and cooked a simple but tasty meal. It was nice just to relax and enjoy the calmness away from the busy world. Under the expansive desert sky, I marveled at the stars above me.
There are no words to describe the moon casting its gentle light upon the undulating landscape. I drifted off to sleep amongst the dunes, lulled by the rhythmic whisper of the desert winds. It was a magical and unforgettable experience.
Bike Picnic Escapade: Embracing The Unexpected
I planned a bike picnic with my friend, packing our backpacks with everything I needed. I headed to a stunning spot near a seasonal lake called “Dayet Srji.” Spending the whole day on a mountain, I explored the area, spotting desert animals and birds along the way. As the day turned to night, I gathered firewood and cooked our food over an open flame. But our adventure took an unexpected turn when I discovered a flat tire on one of the bikes.
Despite our efforts to fix it, I couldn’t get it sorted. With darkness closing in, I had to think fast. That’s when I came up with a wild idea – I removed the inner tube and filled it with herbs.
Surprisingly, it worked like a charm, allowing me to cycle back home under the starry sky. It was a thrilling experience that reminded me of the unpredictable joys of exploration.

Venturing further afield, I took a day trip to the enchanting Ouzoud Waterfalls, where the thundering cascades plunged into emerald pools.
A boat ride along the river provided a unique perspective of the falls, while encounters with Barbary macaques added a touch of wildlife adventure to my excursion. Relaxing at a cliffside cafe, I savored traditional Moroccan dishes while soaking in the mesmerizing beauty of the cascading waters.
